My name is Chris Ruggles and I am running for State Representative in Missouri's 56th District. My goals are clear-cut; to demonstrate that I have both the experience and the drive to represent you in fighting for affordable healthcare, quality education, better jobs, and a cleaner environment.

Why am I running for State Representative? Elected officials in our legislature have played too many political games with our lives, and it is a reality that affects people every day. As a citizen, a college student, and a disabled veteran, I know personally what it's like to feel disappointed by politicians, and I want better for Missouri's families. The status quo has failed Missouri citizens, and we cannot afford to ignore the problems anymore.

I will work hard for Missouri to provide clear answers to the complicated problems we face. I believe we can work as a community to solve our local problems. We have a sacred responsibility to provide health care coverage to all of Missouri’s children. We have an obligation to resolve the current housing crisis that is creating unwanted distress for Missouri families. And we have to make a commitment to higher education in fields like alternative energy, so Missouri can lead the nation in ingenuity, new jobs, and technology. I want to help us get there.
